GoHighLevel — The all-in-one sales & marketing platform used by 60,000+ agencies worldwide. One of the fastest-growing SaaS platforms in the marketing technology space.
Affiliate marketing for B2B SaaS is notoriously difficult. The buyers are sophisticated, the sales cycles are long, and most influencers in the marketing space are promoting competing platforms or burned out on spammy affiliate offers.
The internet is flooded with low-effort affiliate promoters chasing commissions. GoHighLevel needed genuine advocates who used the platform and could speak credibly to agency owners.
Agency software purchases involve demos, trials, and team buy-in. Influencers needed to be partners in a journey, not just top-of-funnel traffic drivers.
Finding the right creators — marketing educators, agency owners, SaaS YouTubers — required showing up where they lived: in-person events, conferences, and niche online communities.
Managing 100+ influencer relationships end-to-end — recruitment, onboarding, activation, performance tracking, and retention — required systematic processes that didn't previously exist.
"The best influencers aren't found in a spreadsheet. They're found at the conferences they're already speaking at, the communities they already lead, and the events they already attend. My job was to go be there."
Attended marketing conferences, agency summits, and SaaS events across the country to identify and personally recruit high-fit influencers. Face-to-face relationships convert at dramatically higher rates than cold outreach.
Delivered talks at events showcasing GoHighLevel's platform capabilities and affiliate opportunity. Speaking positioned me as an authority and created inbound interest from creators who approached me — not the other way around.
Built a qualification framework to vet influencers for audience fit, content quality, and genuine platform alignment. High standards upfront led to higher conversion rates and lower churn among affiliates.
Provided each influencer with content resources, platform training, swipe copy, demo access, and a direct point of contact. Lowering activation friction was the single biggest lever for driving revenue.
Monitored affiliate performance, identified top performers for deeper partnership, and built a tiered system that rewarded consistent producers with better commissions, co-marketing opportunities, and event invites.
Most affiliate managers work from a desk. I worked from conference floors.
Delivered presentations at marketing and agency events, demonstrating the GoHighLevel platform and affiliate opportunity to rooms full of qualified prospects.
Traveled to industry conferences across the country specifically to source influencers — meeting creators face-to-face and building the trust that email never could.
Embedded in agency owner communities, marketing masterminds, and SaaS creator spaces to organically identify and recruit the best-fit affiliate partners.

"The best affiliate isn't the one with the biggest audience. It's the one whose audience trusts them completely."
Meeting a potential affiliate at an event and having a 10-minute conversation produces better long-term partners than any email sequence. The relationship quality is fundamentally different.
Every talk I gave generated inbound interest from creators who self-selected into the program. They came to me already sold on the opportunity — cutting the entire cold recruiting phase.
Getting someone to sign up is easy. Getting them to actually create their first piece of content is hard. Aggressive activation support in the first 30 days dramatically improved program revenue.
When one person owns the relationship from first contact to first commission, nothing falls through the cracks. Fragmented affiliate programs lose momentum at every handoff.
